{AUDITION} SHORT FILM - FLOW
Hey there everyone,
FILM SHORT - FLOW
A man invents a new activity which allows him to achieve the state of mind known as "Flow".
REQUIRED : The voice required is a narrator for the story. He outlines the themes going on behind the action rather than narrating what you see on the screen. It's a serious film rather than a comedy so the style of voice must suit this accordingly. The part has 164 words.
This actor needs to be: Male. 20-40 years old. No strong regional accents. Should be read slow, soft an sonorous with minimal intonation (Film Noir esque). This is a poignant bit of narration. See Mickey Rourke's VO for Sin City for some inspiration.
Audition Lines :
"When your ego finally falls away, every action, movement and thought follows inevitably from the previous one. Your whole being is consumed.
When your ego finally falls away (BEAT)...... Time begins to fly."
DEADLINE : 3RD FEBRUARY

This is a very low budget production and as such pay will be minimal (although we will pay something) and discussed with the actor. You will also be credited and im sure there will be an opportunity for future work. All expenses will be covered. Shooting begins mid February and VO recording will take place somewhere in late feb/early March.
If actor does not have recording facilities we will record in N London so actor must be able to get there.
Thanks
Just to clarify - are you looking for an English accent, or an American one. If English, I believe I'd be quite appropriate.
We re going to clarify a few things quickly because we have realised how the style of Vo could have been misconstrued slightly.
It should be gritty but not too intense. It's a relaxed piece, think Roarke toned down and with less emotional weight to the words, no huge dramatic pauses or stresses (like in trailer VO). Basically not too over the top
It can be hard to describe the style in words but hopefully this should be a little clearer.
Thanks

if this role is still avalible im excited by it and love the idea
